 Divided by a Common Language!...
The Snakes have a new song, Amaretto, included on a compilation album called DIVIDED BY A COMMON LANGUAGE - A Collection of UK Americana. The album was released on Monday 15th March 2010 by Clubhouse Records and is available at Amazon & iTunes (CD or download). Clubhouse have put together a really good collection, 15 songs by 15 bands, including the Redlands Palomino Company, Alan Tyler, Sparkwood & 21, The Hi and Lo, Two Fingers of Firewater, Southern Tenant Folk Union and others. Album 'Sometime Soon'...
When people ask "When's the next Snakes album out?" we've been saying "Sometime soon" for so long now that it has become the album title! After many hours of recording, rewriting, editting, overdubbing, tweeking & polishing we have chosen 12 songs for the final selection. Some will be familiar from our live set, others not. It's taken a long time (ok some of that time was spent in the pub...band meetings?) but we are almost ready to roll. When's the next album out? SOMETIME SOON September 2010.
Extended Player EP!
The Snakes' most recent release is a 5 song EP entitled EXTENDED PLAYER, featuring Spinning Top, Black Cat, Tinfoil Town, We Can Fly and Promised Land. Tracks can be downloaded from itunes.

THE SNAKES - EXTENDED PLAYER.
The Snakes are back with their long-awaited second release, Extended Player! While acknowledging some of their musical heroes with the title of this 5 track EP, The Snakes possess a unique style and swagger of their own, encompassing desert rock, bluesy balladry and an adept country shuffle. Their music provides a soundtrack to the dark introspection and sometimes world-weary lyrics of singer Simon Moor and guitarist Richard Davies.
Extended Player is a prelude to the release in 2010 of
The Snakes second full length album. Their first, "Songs from the Satellites" received great praise from their many fans, including Bob Harris and Mark Lamarr. The band subsequently played a session for Lamarr on his BBC radio 2 show.
